Tension headache symptoms last a minimum of half an hour but could go on for several days depending on the amount of stress and work that you face.It is vital for you to identify the factors leading to these tension headache symptoms,if you are to successfully reduce the severity of these headaches. One of the main causes of tension headache symptoms are known to be stress, both physical and emotional. The best way to deal with stress would be to get yourself more sleep at night. Poor posture couldalso lead to symptoms of tension headaches as this leads to back and neck pains, which in turn result in intense headaches. Often these symptoms include tightness around the shoulder and neck, in addition to the pain. Loss of appetite is another common symptom.

Whether your tension headaches has turned into one that is chronic can be learned by looking at the frequency of your headaches.
